Johnston, S.C. - Coach Robbie Goldman at Wardlaw Academy still has his Patriots in contention for the SCISA Region 4-A despite their 2-6 over all and 2-1 region records.
The Patriots are playing in the tough region against W.W. King, Newberry Academy, Richard Winn Academy, Laurens Academy and Oconee Christian. Richard Winn Academy leads the region going into Spring break.
Addison Faust (sr) leads the team with a batting average of .500 with 7 RBIs. Brody Johnson (so) is batting .467 with 4 RBIs. Jake Winn (fr) is batting .429 with 2 RBIs. Nick Lee (sr) is batting .417 with 8 RBIs. Jackson Smoak (jr) is batting .385 with 3 RBIs
The Patriots still have seven region games left in regular season that includes games with front runner Richard Winn Academy Eagles.
Rounding out the Patriot roster are Michael Martin (jr), Evan Bryan (fr), Matthew Murphy (sr), Thomas Proctor (fr), Kale Henderson (fr) and Chandler Thorne (fr).
Coach Goldman hopes he has nine players returning in 2025 plus those coming up from JV to build a strong competitive team. Next year the Patriots will compete in SCISA Region 3-A against W.W. King, Cambridge Academy, Richard Winn Academy, Anderson Christian, Newberry Academy, Oconee Christian and Palmetto Christian Greenwood.
