Batesburg-Leesville, S.C. – The W.W. King Academy Knights coached by Brian Kneece are in a rebuilding mode for the 2024 season and nearing the halfway point of the season stand 2-4 overall and 1-3 in SCISA Region 4-A.

“We have a young team,” said Coach Kneece. “We got really good kids that work hard and we just got to keep working and make it all come together.”

The Knights are competing in tough region with Wardlaw Academy, Newberry Academy, Richard Winn Academy, Laurens Academy and Oconee Christian.

Coach Kneece only has three seniors in Jesse Parrish, Jonas Amick and Layton Carmean on his roster for veteran leadership.

The projected senior leadership for 2025 will be Connor Shealy, Colton Buzhardt, Noah Ott, Andrew List and Tyler Ramirez. This group has worked hard this year on their skills

The projected 2025 juniors are Smith Kirby, Zed Watkins, Dallas Hill, Wyatt Burbank and John Lederhaus.

Coach Kneece will have a very athletic group of sophomores in 2025 as they have worked hard in 2024 as freshmen to learn and improve on their skills. These players are Elijah Hutto, Colton Black, Landell Anderson, Casen Buzhardt and Ty Doolittle.

Coach Kneece also is projected to welcome a strong and talented group for his freshmen next season in Bubba Buzhardt, Joseph Morse, Greyson Rikard, Colby Buzhardt, Kai Hoover and Joshua Oswald.

This group led the middle school football team to an undefeated season last fall.
