SCISA AA Football Has Competitive Races With Defending Champions HHCA Team To Best

Goose Creek, S.C. – The races in SCISA Class AA are very competitive after four weeks into the 2020 season.  Hilton Head Christian and Pee Dee have3-0 records. Carolina Academy stands at 2-0. Beaufort Academy and Orangeburg Prep stand at 3-1 and Williamsburg comes in at 2-1.

Coach Jonathan King has his Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles ready for a title runs in Region Two and post-season.  Hudson Spivey (so) from the quarterback slot has completed 36 of 63 passes for 756 yards and 10 touchdowns.  He also rushed for 29 yards on 5 carries for 3 touchdowns.

Caleb Oakley (sr) has been the top receiver with 16 receptions for 477 yards and 6 touchdowns.  Drew Singletary has 4 receptions for 76 yards and 1 touchdown.  Colby Sinclair (so) has 4 receptions for 59 yards and 1 touchdown. Sinclair has also rushed for 307 yards on 27 carries for 5 touchdowns.  Gabe Estes (sr) has the other receiving touchdown from 12 yards out.

The Pee Dee defense has been led by Kaiden Shaffer (sr) with 17 tackles followed by Ryan Forney (sr) and Estes with 16 each.

The Golden Eagles defense has recorded 11 sacks.  Sam Gasque (sr) has 2.5 followed by Jacob Rouse (so) with 2.  Dylan Carter (jr) and Christopher Stepp (jr) have 1.5 each followed by Sinclair and Noah Cox (fr) with 1 each.

The Carolina Academy Bobcats of Coach T.J. Joye depends on a power running offense led by Austin Brown (sr) with 221 yards on 14 carries for 1 touchdown.  George Wilder (sr) has 179 yards on 13 carries for 6 touchdowns.  Blake Moore (so) has rushed for 118 yards on 7 carries for 1 touchdown.  Adam Evans (jr) has 56 yards on 2 carries for 1 touchdown.

The Bobcat defense has been led by Makarius Epps with 19 tackles.  Kohl Coker (sr) has 14 followed by George Wilder (sr) and Brown with 10 each.

The Williamsburg Stallions offense has been led by Quarterback Joe Kellahan with 284 yards on 18/34 passes for 1 touchdown.  Trae Price (sr) has rushed for 105 yards on 11 carries for 2 touchdowns. Price also has 106 yards on 7 receptions for 2 touchdowns.

Mitchell Floyd (jr) and Ryan Cory lead the defense with 12 and 11 tackles.

The Florence Christian Eagles coached by Neil Minton despite an 0-4 record still have a chance to make post-season play.  They have region games with Carolina and Spartanburg Christian left to play.

The Eagles running game has been led by Ethan Kelly (jr) with 247 yards on 48 carries.  Juels Huntley (fr) has rushed for 156 yards on 30 carries and 1 touchdown.  Harrison Forehand (jr) has added 124 yards on 12 carries.

Robbie Jordan (sr) from the quarterback slot has completed 20 of 39 passes for 242 yards for 2 touchdowns.  His top receiver has been Kelly with 5 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown.  Forehand has 2 catches for 39 yards and a touchdown.

The Eagles defense has been led by D J Huntley (jr) with 20 tackles followed by L. Houston (jr) with 19.  Micah Pittman (jr) has recorded 15 followed by Forehand and Kelly with 12 each.

Hilton Head Christian is currently in the drivers seat for the Region One title with Beaufort Academy and Orangeburg Prep in hot pursuit.  Hilton Head Prep and John Paul ll still have a chance to make post-season play.

The Golden Warriors of John Paul ll still can be a region spoiler.  The Warriors have a strong running game with Jeremiah Young leading with 238 yards on 45 rushes for 3 touchdowns.  Austin McIntosh (sr) follows with 143 yards on 47 carries and  Mark Knight (jr) has 139 yards on 16 carries for a touchdown.

Young from the quarterback slot has completed 10 of 25 passes for 158 yards.  His top receivers have been Jackson Ogden (so) with 5 receptions for 88 yards and Knight with 3 receptions for 37 yards.

The defense has recorded 188 tackles led by Hayden Jennings (sr) with 22 followed by Peter Hughes (so) and Anthony Hill (so) with 21 each.  Evan Slusne (jr) and Michael Carbone (jr) follow with 20 and 17.  McIntosh on defense has recorded 4 sacks.
