Week Seven Honor Roll From The Lowcountry

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Matthew Duncan completed 19 of 31 passes for 364 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score in Ashley Ridge’s 52-0 rout of James Island. Nick Cunningham rushed 20 times for 157 yards and three scores and Jaelyn Perry had eight catches for 137 yards and a TD.

Fort Dorchester running back Kalil Jenkins had 24 carries for 120 yards and a TD during the Patriots’ 21-20 overtime victory over Berkeley. Quarterback De’Andrae Sabb ran for 70 yards and two scores.

Ridgeland/Hardeeville quarterback Jertaveon Smalls was 11 of 26 for 221 yards and a touchdown during the Jaguars’ 41-7 loss to May River. Ronald Zimmerman had four catches for 135 yards and a TD.

Berkeley quarterback Eric Tuttle was 16 of 27 for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the Stags’ 21-20 overtime loss to Fort Dorchester.

Kenyatta Jenkins accounted for 184 total yards – 88 yards rushing and 96 yards passing – in West Ashley’s 23-15 loss to Wando.

Stall quarterback Dre Martin was 15 of 25 for 330 yards and one touchdown during the Warriors’ 31-14 loss to Goose Creek. Tyshon Richardson had nine catches for 186 yards.

Bishop England QB Eddie Marinaro threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 66 yards and another score during the Bishops’ 23-13 victory over Waccamaw. Chris Dengler had four catches for 191 yards and two TDs.

Summerville quarterback Johnathan Bennett accounted for 199 total yards of offense and had a pair of touchdown runs in the Green Wave’s 21-7 victory over Cane Bay.

Wando tailback Will Harris had 102 yards rushing and a touchdown during the Warriors’ 23-15 win over West Ashley. Quarterback Will Pickren was 7 for 15 for 114 yards and also had a rushing TD.

Sean Cooney threw for three touchdowns and Keegan Williams ran for three scores during Oceanside Collegiate’s 58-0 win over Burke.

Wando’s Justin Pelic had 16 ½ total tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery in the Warriors’ 23-15 win over West Ashley.

Timberland’s Daquan Gleason had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery during the Wolves’ 34-7 win over Garrett. THS defense also saw interceptions from Tyler Sumpter and Jaleem Richardson.

Wesley Crain returned two interceptions for touchdowns during Hanahan’s 62-0 rout of Academic Magnet. Logan Ammons also had an INT return for a score and Mac Blakeney threw for three touchdowns, including two Jake Ward.

First Baptist quarterback Myron Wigfall completed 14 of 24 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 37-0 victory over Pinewood Prep. Michel Dukes had two TD catches and also ran for another score.

Palmetto Christian Academy QB Connor Rourk had 13 carries for 203 yards and a trio of touchdowns and also threw for 67 yards in the Eagles’ 46-8 victory over Holly Hill Academy. On defense, Dalton Welch had 10 tackles including two for a loss and also returned an interception 50 yards for a score. Daniel Gunn also had 10 tackles – three for a loss – and one sack.
