Week Three Honor Roll From The Midlands

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ty Olenchuk was a perfect 12 for 12 passing for 261 yards and four touchdowns in Dutch Fork’s 63-7 victory over Boiling Springs. Gage Zirke had six catches for 173 yards and three of those scores. Ron Hoff ran for 120 yards and two scores while Jonathan Hall ran for another 116.

Sumter quarterback Hayden Vasquez completed 11 of 12 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown and also ran three times for 37 yards and another score in the Gamecocks’ 49-7 victory over Lakewood. Tony Dinkins-McCall had six catches for 91 yards and a TD and Jonathan Henry rushed 12 times for 58 yards and a pair of scores. Dontae Coleman led the defense with nine tackles, 2 ½ for a loss, and an interception.

Strom Thurmond running back Stanley Hill had 13 carries for 118 yards and three TDs and one catch for 53 yards during the Rebels’ 41-20 victory over Midland Valley. Defensive end Alex Peralta had six tackles including three tackles for a loss and two sacks and two QB hurries. He also had four punts with an average distance of 33 yards.

Gilbert RB Cody Temples had 96 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in the Indians’ 27-19 victory over Airport. Quarterback Josh Strickland threw for two scores.

Williston-Elko quarterback Tres Rimes completed 13 of 21 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Devils’ 22-14 victory over Allendale-Fairfax. Keshawn Toney had seven catches for 106 yards and two scores. Javier Rudolph recorded four tackles and picked off two passes on defense.

Chapin QB Roger Pedroni completed eight of 13 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 32-22 victory over Newberry. James Wells had 14 total tackles to lead the defense while Jacob Drag had 11 tackles including two for a loss and a sack.

White Knoll quarterback Aveon Smith completed 13 of 21 passes for 183 yards and two scores in the Timberwolves’ 48-38 victory over Aiken. Running back Jamias Holloway had 16 carries for 101 yards and three scores. On defense, Devin Jones had 12 tackles including two for a loss and one sack. David Kinard had four tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery.

Javon Anderson threw for 139 yards and a score in Ridge View’s 20-10 victory over Northwestern. Walyn Napper had five receptions for 120 yards and one TD.

Marquel Brown rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns during Spring Valley’s 43-0 win over Richland Northeast.

Braden Walker finished with 219 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns – one running, one throwing and one on an 85-yard kickoff return in River Bluff’s 28-18 win over Lugoff-Elgin.

Jackson Muschamp threw for 227 yards and four touchdowns during Hammond’s 41-9 victory over Pinewood Prep. Cleo Canty had 104 yards receiving and a TD for the Skyhawks.

Shanye Monsanto had 118 yards rushing and two TDs and Jalen Montgomery and 143 yards rushing and another score in Cardinal Newman’s 40-18 victory over Augusta Christian.

Batesburg-Leesville’s Keshoun Williams ran for 60 yards and two scores and threw for 126 and another TD in a 37-11 win over Mid-Carolina.

Shymeik Corbitt had 166 yards rushing and a touchdown during Camden’s 28-16 win over Fort Mill. Willis Lane had 135 yards rushing and a score.

Mid-Carolina’s Darien Bookman caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown during a 37-11 loss to Batesburg-Leesville.
