Week Three Honor Roll From The Upstate

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Aiken quarterback Kory Wallace was 23 of 46 for 396 yards and five touchdowns in the Green Hornets’ 48-38 loss to White Knoll. Charvis Jones had eight catches for 202 yards and two scores while Jeremiah Green had seven receptions for 108 yards. Carlos Hazel led the defense with 11 tackles, two tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and an interception.

Broome quarterback Brenden Taylor completed 18 of 34 passes for 174 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 60 yards and another scored in the Centurions’ 46-14 loss to Union County. Keyvon Graham caught seven passes for 90 yards and a TD. CJ Littlejohn led the defense with nine total tackles including four for a loss.

Senior Wren quarterback Tyrell Jackson was 21 for 34 through the air for 358 yards and five touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 48-7 victory over Easley. Tyler Cherry had six receptions for 121 yards and two scores.

Saluda quarterback Noah Bell threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ 31-14 victory over Pelion.

Bryce Whitten threw for 155 yards and two scores in Pelion’s 31-14 loss to Saluda.

Travelers Rest QB Wilson Hendricks threw for 145 yards and a TD and also ran 97 yards and another score in the Devildogs’ 20-19 victory over Pickens. Derrick Fields had four catches for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Jarod Barton had 28 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown in Pickens’ 20-19 loss to Travelers Rest.

Dustin Noller completed 22 of 43 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown in Northwestern’s 20-10 loss to Ridge View. Gregory Bivens had five catches for 111 yards.

Carson Cox had four combined touchdowns – two passing, two rushing – in Oakbrook Prep’s 33-25 victory over Williamsburg Academy. He also had an interception on defense.

Thomas Morgan rushed for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns on nine carries during Dorman’s 35-0 victory against York. Jayvon Cohen had six tackles including a tackle for a loss and also returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.

Greer’s Trey Houston accounted for 253 yards of total offense -- rushing for a touchdown and throwing two more in a 40-3 win over Mauldin.

Nigel Cochran returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns in Woodruff’s 48-7 win over Seneca.

Union County quarterback T.T. Kershaw had 12 carries for 175 yards and four touchdowns in Union County’s 46-14 win over Broome. Running back Kesean Glover finished with 14 carries for 126 yards and two scores.
